Lakshmi Puja Muhurat

05:25 PM to 06:16 PM

Gather the Blessings

Celestial Deities: Invite the divine presence of Goddess Lakshmi, the embodiment of prosperity, and Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, with beautifully crafted idols or images.
A Sacred Space: Cleanse and adorn your puja area with vibrant lights, fragrant flowers, and glowing diyas, creating a space that radiates serenity.

Welcome Abundance

Dress in fresh attire and cleanse yourself, preparing your heart and mind for the ceremony. Arrange the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha on a chowki (a raised platform) adorned with a rich red or yellow cloth. This symbolizes a foundation of prosperity. Adorn the deities with fragrant garlands and vibrant flowers, symbolizing respect and reverence.

Awaken the Divine

Apply a tilak (a mark of auspiciousness) with kumkum, roli, and chandan paste to the idols, inviting their divine presence.

Sweet Offerings

Present an array of delectable sweets, fresh fruits, and a whole coconut, symbolizing abundance and gratitude.

Illumination and Fragrance

Light the diyas with pure ghee (clarified butter) and cotton wicks, bathing the space in warm, golden light. Light incense sticks and dhoop cones, filling the air with a calming fragrance.

Aarti – The Dance of Light and Song

Perform the aarti ceremony, a beautiful dance of light and devotion. Using an aarti thali (a decorated plate), rhythmically wave the glowing diyas while chanting or singing hymns of praise.

Offer panchamrit, a sacred mixture symbolizing the five elements, and sprinkle Gangajal (holy water from the Ganges) for purification. Conclude the puja by offering dakshina (a token of respect) and distributing the blessed prasad (food offerings) amongst your loved ones, sharing the joy and blessings of the ceremony.
